Tink tossed a marshmallow into her latte. “New day. New drama. Who’s spinning the tale today?”
Goldi pointed her pen like a dagger. “I vote ballerina. Fangs. Tulle. Regret. Give me tragic beauty on pointes.”
Rapunzel agreed with a wicked smile. “Let’s go full gothic-glam. I want blood, betrayal, and battements.”
Cindy just blinked. “Batt-what?”
“Shhh,” whispered Red, “the curtain’s rising.”
The Crimson Pirouette
(As told by someone who swears this happened in a cursed theatre where the chandeliers blink back.)
Her name was Seraphine Nocturne, and she danced like the stars themselves had stitched motion into her limbs.
Every night, she twirled under candlelight in the Grand Danse Macabre Theatre, where mortals came to watch beauty transcend bone and breath. But what they didn’t know?
Seraphine was already dead.
Centuries ago, she was the prodigy of the Court of Roses, a ballerina chosen to perform before the Empress of Evernight. But a jealous rival cursed her final dance with a single drop of blood - turning her into a creature of eternal elegance and eternal thirst.
Now, Seraphine performs in a theatre sealed by time, where the audience is always full, and no one remembers buying a ticket. Her music is played by ghostly hands, and her dance partners? Shadows stitched together from forgotten souls.
The climax?
Each final pirouette ends with a bite - the chosen critic of the night, always seated in the front row, always gasping at the last moment before being pulled into the curtain folds forever.
But last night… Seraphine paused.
She looked directly into the eyes of a girl in the balcony. A girl with ink-stained fingers and a quill tucked behind one ear.
A girl from the Archives.
Whispers say Seraphine left the theatre after that night. That she’s looking for the girl. That maybe - just maybe - immortality doesn’t mean solitude after all.
Unless, of course, she pirouettes right behind you.
“Okay wow,” said Cinderella, wide-eyed.
Goldi clapped like she was summoning spirits. “That was everything. Tragic, bitey, chic. I’m unwell.”
Tink added, “If she shows up here, I’m giving her my seat. Girl earned it.”
They all laughed, toasted with lavender lattes, and prepared for what they knew was coming next…
