 “Janelle’s Jars of Doom”

A Totally Original Definitely Not Ancient Tale of Cataclysmic Curiosity

Tink walked in smugly, iced latte in hand, already judging people. Rapunzel had glitter in her braid again, Cinderella was writing love letters to her own reflection, and Red had reworked her cloak into a crop top because “capey-chic is back.”

But then -

Snow White dropped a jar.

Literally. A giant glass jar rolled out of her satchel, bounced once, and didn’t shatter (thank magic), but the drama level? Oh, it shattered the room’s chill vibe entirely.

Everyone froze.

“Careful!” gasped Goldi. “What is that?!”

“Oh, just one of Janelle’s jars,” Snow said nonchalantly, as if invoking a name from the depths of catastrophic legend was no big deal.

Janelle?!” Red shrieked. “As in Janelle the Curious? The bringer of doom? The breaker of balance? The girl who couldn’t just leave well enough alone?!”

Snow blinked. “Yeah. Her. Want me to tell the story?”

The group, unable to resist chaos, nodded furiously.

“Janelle’s Jars of Doom”
(Absolutely no resemblance to Pandora whatsoever. Zip. Nada. Completely different alphabet.)

In the ancient, ink-soaked land of Vespermere, lived a woman named Janelle. Bright-eyed, brave, and cursed with that most dangerous of things: chronic curiosity.

The gods (as usual) had secrets. Vaults of mischief. Tomes of torment. And, of course, jars.

Seven jars.

Each sealed with wax, charm, and a teeny tiny inscription that read:

“DO NOT OPEN UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, SERIOUSLY, THIS MEANS YOU, JANELLE.”

Naturally… she opened them.

Not all at once, mind you. She was polite in her apocalypse.

First came Sorrow, oozing out in blue mist and turning all laughter to sighs.
Then Greed, a golden fog that made villagers fight over teaspoons.
Then Fury, which ignited everything - including the town goats.

By Jar Four, Insecurity, she started doubting herself.
By Jar Five, Envy, she hated her sister’s hair so much she cursed every mirror in town.
By Jar Six, Chaos, reality itself got… melty.

But then - just before she popped open Lucky Number Seven - Janelle hesitated.

Her cat, Mopey, leapt onto the shelf and knocked Jar Seven into her arms. That’s when she saw the hidden label beneath the wax:

“Hope.”

And Janelle, standing in the middle of all the mess she’d unleashed, decided: Yeah, fine, might as well open it too.

And out came a glowing, fierce wind of pure hope - restoring a bit of balance, stitching hearts back together, and giving goats their chill back.

Janelle? She disappeared. Some say she bottled herself into Jar Eight, labeled "Do Not Tell My Story"… which everyone immediately ignored.

Snow took a dainty sip of her tea. “And that’s the tale. You’re welcome.”

Tink blinked. “...So it’s Pandora. With extra steps.”

Cinderella nodded. “But fashionable.”

Rapunzel: “The goat detail was very compelling.”

Red: “She could’ve opened Hope first. Classic bad decision-making.”

Goldi: “But that ending? Chef’s kiss.

Workday? Officially closed.

Scrolls tucked away, cloaks fluttered, and the ladies left - whispering theories about whether Janelle was real, or just the chaos living in all of them.
